John P. Farmer

John Farmer is Deputy Chief Credit Officer at Eastern Bank. Since he joined the bank in 1990, Farmer has served in various senior leadership roles in the Corporate Credit, Commercial Lending and Treasury Services divisions of the bank. Currently, John is Chairman of the bank’s Credit Committee.

Mr. Farmer earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Bentley University, and he also completed the graduate program at the University of Delaware’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking, where he also served as a thesis advisor for many years.

Mr. Farmer has been an active board member on many business and social services organizations in Greater Boston over the last three decades of his professional career.
