Owner Jeremy Lockett discovered the Biz-M-Power Grant Program through the community development nonprofit Union Square Main Streets.  He also developed a relationship with Small Business Technical Assistance Grant Program provider East Somerville Main Streets, who offered technical assistance to help complete his application.

The Biz-M-Power Grant Program allowed Himalayan Kitchen to receive a one-to-one matching grant for new equipment, including sinks, an ice machine, and shelving units for the renovated bar area.
